We had our first visitors in Amman this past week! Bubbie and Zaidie hopped over the border after two weeks in Israel to join us for the third week of their holiday. We were all so excited to see them - it was very strange to have two familiar faces from home appear in our family room. Jason picked them up at the border and it all went smoothly, so for those of you hesitating - go for it!
This weekend we dragged them all over Amman and then out into the countryside. On Friday we headed downtown to the Amphitheatre and the Citadel. We got stuck in the worst traffic jam ever! There is a big souk (street market) which we'd heard about but never seen, and we ended up driving right through it. I'll blame that on our GPS unit, but to be honest I have no idea if there were any other options! On Saturday we headed out with a large group of friends from school to an olive farm outside of Ajloun.
The first gallery is from Friday at the Amphitheatre and the Citadel. Sarah was busy playing a role in the filming of a commercial for Zalatimo Sweets. Stay tuned for her TV debut!

This next gallery is from the olive farm today. We joined a tour organized by Engaging Cultures, the same company that we used for our trip to Wadi Rum.
